To perform backstroke kick with a kickboard on top:

Grab a Kickboard:

Select a kickboard and hold it with both hands while lying on your back in the water.

Ensure your body is in a horizontal position with your head comfortably resting on the water’s surface and your hips near the waterline.

Kick Technique:

Start kicking with your legs in a steady and rhythmic motion. Focus on keeping your legs straight but not locked and generating power from your hips and core muscles.

Core Stability:

Engage your core muscles to maintain stability and keep your body in a streamlined position. This helps reduce drag and improves efficiency in the water.

Breathing:

Since this drill focuses on kick technique rather than arm movement, you can breathe normally or practice backstroke breathing technique if desired.
