Progression Floating Star Version 1

The main idea of the drill “Floating star” with noodle is to improve buoyancy and control of the body. The proper understanding of body position help to float better.

Note

For children 2-4 years old, use the shallow pool. The drill can be performed on the chest and on the back



Basic Level

1. You will need two noodles

2. You lie down on the chest and put one noodle under the arms and the second under the legs, extend the legs and arms parallel to the surface of the water

3. You take a breath, put your head under the water and hold your breath for 10-15 seconds while straighten your body in one line with the surface of the water

4. Number of repetition of the exercises will depend on the tasks of the coach



Intermediate Level

1. You will need one noodle

2. You lie down on the chest and put one noodle under the arms or under the legs, extend the legs and arms parallel to the surface of the water

3. You take a breath, put your head under the water and hold your breath for 10-15 seconds while straighten your body in one line with the surface of the water

Advance Level

1. No noodle is needed

2. You lie down on the chest and extend your legs and arms parallel to the surface of the water

3. You take a breath, put your head under the water and hold your breath for 10-15 seconds while straighten your body in one line with the surface of the water
