Rolling Backstroke 6+1

Rolling Backstroke 6+1

The main idea of the drill “Rolling Backstroke 6 kicks + 1 pull”

is to improve stable body position in backstroke and arms coordination with the recovery and rolling actions.

1. Lie on your back in 50- 65 degrees related to the surface of the water with one arm extended above your head another hand down at your side. Begin flutter kick.

2. After the 6th flutter kick, the extended arm above your head begins to pull underwater, while other hands begin recovery above water.

3. After the end of the stroke and the entry of the hand into the water, you rotate the body to the other side and continue to do a six kick.

4. You inhale when the arm makes the first half pull of the stroke. At this point, your face will be slightly higher above the water, which will help you to breathe easier.

5. During the drill, the eyes look up, and the head does not rotate to the side.

6. Make a steady and fast kick.
